Eat Mike Birbiglia’s Oatmeal Song featuring the Mates of State!

Hey there friends,

http://www.birbigs.com/spj/wp-admin/

Thanks to everyone for coming out to my fall tour! According to my tour poster, there’s only one date left in Atlantic City on Saturday, December 12th, pick a few up before they’re all gone.

Remember that time I said I was driving and a song came on the radio and it started out all nice, and it was about oatmeal, but then it turned out I was tricked into listening to Christian rock? And I was like, “Hey, what about the oatmeal?”

Well, on Thursday, November 5th, at my show at Town Hall in New York City, I realized that if I wanted an oatmeal song, I’d have to write it myself. So with the help of my friends The Mates of State, I did. Check it out.

Enjoy the song on Birbigstube, but be warned, this is the least fuzzy moment of it.

I hope you enjoy. Send it to friends. Punch your enemies.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

love-
mike b

PS. Joe Bags is putting together some Black Friday online store specials this week, or, as he calls them,  “doorbusters.” I don’t do Christmas shopping 4 weeks early, but apparently, America does.

    Mike,

You really need to try some creamy peanut butter in your oatmeal. There is nothing like it.

  2. Janelle Says:

My favorite part is the chorus. It just says so much. About oatmeal. And a song.

  3. Gucior Erdem Says:

I had problems reading this with my Iphone, why is that?

So happy to digest such a insightful article that does not depend on lame antics to get the idea covered. Thanks for an entertaining read.

  5. Tarantino Movies Says:

Nice work. I might have to give peanut butter in oatmeal a try, like the first poster says.
