Now I'm going to enter the third person to tell you my bio. Don't be alarmed. It's going to start with "Mike Birbiglia."
Mike Birbiglia has always been a dreamer. In 2nd grade Mike won the "Author of the Month" at St. Mary's school in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts for his exceptional poetry. At the time, Mike's aspirations were to be a poet, a teacher, or the owner of a pizza restaurant where 2nd graders could hang out. In the 6th grade, Mike wrote and performed a rap song for the graduation ceremony of the D.A.R.E. Program at St. Mary's School. Mike decided at this point he was going to be a rapper, a breakdancer or the owner of a pizza restaurant where 6th graders could hang out. In high school, Mike began acting in school plays and started a sketch comedy group called "The Sickies."
He then went to Georgetown University, where, as a freshman, Mike was cast in the school's improve troupe and won "The Funniest Man on Campus" contest. This earned Mike the chance to perform at the D.C. Improv, where Mike would hone his act for 3 years and dream of being a headlining comedian.
